Women's Retreat 2008

 RECLAIM * RENEW * REVEAL

(Psalm 51)

***

From March 8-9, 2008, New Hope Fellowship's women will be retreating to Mariandale Retreat & Conference Center in Ossining, NY, for their Annual Women's Retreat.  Once again, we are looking forward to a full weekend of sweet fellowship and wise teaching.  Please continue to pray the Lord's power, protection and grace over us as we prepare for and participate in this Retreat.

The cost of the retreat is $80 for women who are staying overnight.  Please see Jenny Ko Ahn for adjusted prices if you are not staying overnight, if you will only be with us for part of the weekend, or if you are a college or graduate student.

This year, the women have the pleasure of welcoming Professor Julianne (Julie) Cox, who teaches New Testament Studies and Biblical Languages at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York.  Julianne received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Bible/Theology/Greek from Toccoa Falls College in Georgia, her Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Alliance Theological Seminary, and her Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.) from Yale Divinity School.  She is currently in the process of obtaining her doctorate in New Testament from Fordham University in New York.  The title of her dissertation is "Social Memory and the Shaping of Identity in the Johannine Community."

Julianne is married and has a 19-year-old daughter at Boston University.  She has extensive teaching, speaking and ministry experience, particularly on the subjects of Bible study methods, the 'journey of discipleship,' the Gospel of John, ethics and post-modernity, the pastoral heart of the Apostle Paul, and 'women of excellence.'  She has also served in long-term missions to the Philippines and short-term missions to Russia.

Julianne will minister to NHF's women on the theme of "Reclaim * Renew * Reveal," based on Psalm 51.  Please be in prayer for Julianne, for the retreat, and for our women to be blessed and empowered by the Spirit of our Living God.
