Page 1 of 2 In this tutorial we'll see how new galleries can be created. You should have completed "Web Tutorial #9: Adding Photo Galleries" prior to beginning this tutorial. After logging in and clicking in "Photo Galleries," and after clicking "User System" at the bottom, people who are able to create a new gallery see two icons, as below. Click the first icon, which has text beginning "Create new galleries for ..."
Now, if you click the "New Gallery" icon in the upper right corner, you'll be prompted to enter information about the gallery in the next screen.
Enter the title which visitors will see, for the purpose of this tutorial, I'll substitute "Test Gallery 1" for "nhf_". We won't be creating a private gallery, so leave the password field blank, as well as the keyword field. The directory field can also be ignored.
In order to publish this gallery, you need to do two things. First, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Share this gallery" under the Properties tab at the bottom.
Then toggle to the second tab, "Members," and select "Members only."
Finally, scroll to the top of the page and click the "Save" button.
You've just created a new gallery, which you can verify by clicking the "Photo Galleries" link. However, because it is an empty gallery, you'll see that it has a "sorry, no picture available" thumbnail.
In the next and final page, we'll practice deleting photos and galleries, as well as briefly discussing how to request that a photo be removed.
