Move your mouse over the “Connections” button, and a drop down menu will appear. 

Click on "Request Connection".  A new window will appear.  You do not have to type in the text box.  Just click on "Submit".  After a moment, a new little window will appear stating " Connection Successfully Added!"

Please mouse over the "Connections" icon and click on "Manage Your Connections"
