 Our annual Summer Retreat is right around the corner! From Friday to Sunday, August 10-12, 2007, our NHF family will return to the beautiful campus of nearby Nyack College for a weekend of fellowship, refreshment and receiving from the Lord all that He would give to us as a community of believers. RETREAT DETAILS The speaker for our retreat this year is Dr. Frank Chan, an associate professor at Nyack College. Frank is also a long-standing and faithful friend to New Hope Fellowship. During the long months that NHF was without a senior pastor, God provided Frank to our church as a regular guest-speaker and as a true prayer warrior on our behalf. Certainly, Frank's faithfulness and prayers are no small reason that God's heart was moved to bring Pastor Edward to pastor NHF. After Pastor Edward's arrival, Frank has remained a dear and cherished brother to our community, and it is our happiness to be spending this Retreat weekend with him. God will surely use this cheerful, honest and Christ-loving man to bless us and to speak His wisdom and love to us, so sign up now! For directions to the Retreat, please see Nyack College's website. The following are items to prepare for the Retreat: - Journal/notebook & pens/pencils
- Sneakers/comfortable shoes
- Bedding/towels, if you want to supplement what the College is providing
- A humble heart willing to receive from our Father and give to your neighbour
RETREAT COSTS
The cost of the retreat includes comfortable dorm rooms in Christie Hall (NOT including bed linens and towels), five meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; breakfast and lunch on Sunday), the use of the air-conditioned classrooms and meeting chapel in Pardington Hall, access to either the athletic bubble or the large athletic field, and all fees & taxes. - Adults 10 yo and over: $104
A 50% discount is available to college students, graduate school students, and any families or individuals that request it.
