On Saturday, July 8, New Hope Fellowship will hold a picnic at Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow from 11 AM to about 4 PM. This year our congregation will be joined by about 20 families belonging to the Tarrytowns Even Start Family Health and Literacy Program.

New Hope and Even Start families will get together for a time of fellowship, praise, food, and games & sports (for children and adults). The picnic, the sixth event that NHF has held with Even Start since September ’05, promises to be a great opportunity for us to continue building relationships of friendship, trust, and caring for one another in the name of Christ.

Even Start provides health and literacy services to low-literacy, low-income families in the Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow area with children from birth to age 7.  Most of the families participating in the program recently emigrated from Spanish-speaking countries in Latin and South America.

New Hope members, please contact Cathy Cha to sign up to bring food, beverages, supplies, games or sports equipment. The picnic will be potluck for New Hope & Even Start families. Bring friends and family. And pray for sunshine. (No rain date).

Directions:

Follow Route 9 North, about a mile past the church. Turn left onto Pierson Street (which becomes Bellwood) and continue to Palmer Avenue. Turn left onto Palmer Avenue and continue to Kingsland Point Park.
